This election gives you, the voter, an opportunity to see where the candidates stand on the important fire safety issue of residential fire sprinklers. Fire SAFE has prepared a survey and sent it out to all the candidates of the four major political parties. The responses they provided have been entered into this site.
Fire SAFE has been advocating the use of residential fire sprinklers as an effective tool in fighting fires. We have been successful in persuading the Ontario government to change the rules for new apartment and condominium residences above four stories. Now we want to extend that protection to new homes being built in the province.
You can help by raising this issue with the local candidates or at all candidates meetings. The more people talk about this issue the sooner we will see the positive change we need to protect what we value most.
